Downtown Los Angeles, CA. July 10, 2021– Illuminating artist Marko Gavrilovic stunned guests with his latest show After the Rain, in collaboration with Mash Gallery. Gallery owner Haleh Mashian had personally hand-picked paintings of Gavrilovic’s striking work. His colorful, graphic design-inspired pieces consist of complex neon paintings and LED sculptures, transporting the viewer inside an alternate, Escher-esque universe.
“My art is philosophical, without too many philosophical references,” Gavrilovic had said about his own work. “Paintings particularly have that dialogue within widely open doors. But what you will find by looking or going through them is totally up to you.”
Gavrilovic’s work has been shown internationally in Paris, France; Belgade, Serbia; Palm Beach, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Brooklyn, NY; Milan, Italy, among others. His pieces can be found in the collections of the Broden Cultural Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Museum of Applied Art in Belgrade, Serbia and the Gallery for Contemporary Art, Smederevo, Serbia.
At around 6pm, guests started trickling in, admiring the artwork and gazing at Gavrilovic’s illuminating sculptures and detailed worlds. Within the hour, Mash Gallery was packed with people, with many enjoying the champagne and groovy music outside the door. VIP guests such as actress and influencer Alessia Vernazza, actress Eden Sassoon, and Kerry Rhodes were in attendance and were led towards an exclusive red carpet area, where Getty photographers took their pictures. Overall, the atmosphere was energetic, busy, and electrifying. The chic, stylish people, engaging influencers, and the occasional furry friend made for an unforgettable night.
