Of her artworks, the artist states, “I want to celebrate womanhood through these rituals, injecting sexual freedom and female power into these sacred spaces.” Nelly Zagury was born and raised in Paris and studied at HEAR (Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin) in Strasbourg and the HEAD (Haute Ecole d’art et de design) in Geneva. Her work is heavily influenced by her Moroccan heritage and draws her inspiration from mythology and a passion for Kitsch. She currently finds herself on a quest to propose a new experience of femininity.
