In Night Lattice, Tina Bluefield transforms the familiar structure of the grid into something expansive and atmospheric. Layers of intersecting black lines traverse a luminous field of saturated blue, creating a framework that feels at once architectural and celestial. Scattered white specks animate the surface like stars, suggesting a night sky suspended within a carefully ordered system.

The work engages a long tradition of grid-based abstraction, from Piet Mondrian’s search for universal harmony to Agnes Martin’s meditative linear compositions.
