About the Artwork
In Silver Trickle I, Haleh Mashian creates a rich, tactile cascade where texture, luminosity, and form converge. Cascading drops and organic shapes emerge from a dense field of metallic silver and muted neutrals, their surfaces catching and releasing light as the viewer moves through the work. Delicate streams and raised forms animate the surface, suggesting the slow, poetic fall of tears captured in mid-motion.
Through her layered use of mixed media, Mashian transforms the wood panel into a sculptural terrain, where liquid and solid, shimmer and shadow, interact in a continuous dialogue. The restrained palette of silver, grey, pearl, and soft earth tones enhances the work’s meditative, almost otherworldly, atmosphere.
Rooted in contemporary abstraction and deep material exploration, Silver Trickle I invites reflection on impermanence, transformation, and the quiet beauty found in nature’s rhythms.
