Biography
On the canvas of my strokes, I paint wide and deep eyes, who see beyond appearances and disguises. I reveal what we choose to see, but also what we hide, in that subtle dance of truths and deceptions that we embrace. The pupils dilate, like windows to the universe, observing the hidden facets of our own being. They show the lights and shadows that intertwine, and unravel the secrets we refuse to believe.
In every brushstroke, I draw grand and bold mouths, who courageously express silenced truths. They break the chains of false complacency and awaken the voice that lies in our cowardice. The words dance on the canvas, freeing themselves at last.
In each stroke, I find freedom of expression. I reveal what we choose not to say, what we keep silent, and thus I challenge the gag imposed by the repression. My paintings are mirrors that reflect our duality, the choice to see only the comfortable and accommodating. But they also invite us to open our eyes and mouths, to face the uncomfortable and make it conscious.
So, in my art is the invitation, to look beyond the surfaces and the veils. To say what we have chosen to keep silent out of fear, and find the strength to express what we long to reveal in sleeplessness.
