Biography
Tina Bluefield
is a contemporary painter living and working in the desert community of Joshua Tree, California. Her practice spans large-scale abstraction and landscape-based painting, shaped by early exposure to museums in New York and formal training at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned her BFA in painting. Influenced by the Mojave Desert as well as coastal and mountainous environments, Bluefield builds her paintings in layered sequences, often working across multiple series at once. Her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between place, color, surface, and the slow accumulation of time through paint.
