“All Hail: On January 30th, 1990, The first Mcdonald’s restaurant opened in Moscow, Russia. The line of customers stretched for blocks, 30,000 people waited to get a taste for the first time. My work uses the visual allure of marketing and psychology that we engage with when purchasing consumable products. In this composition, we see an army of McDonald’s soldiers hailing to the sky in uniform, all while standing in formation behind the 80’s restaurant character “Mac Tonight”. I wanted to showcase a blind salute, filled with compliance for an entity that governs them, in this case, McDonald’s.”
