Don’t Miss the Art Event Everyone Will Be Talking About
Mash Gallery is thrilled to unveil “Silence Decoded,” a solo exhibition by the globally renowned and elusive artist RETNA—his most anticipated showcase in years. Famed for his mesmerizing fusion of calligraphy, street art, and sacred symbology, RETNA’s work transcends language, inviting you into a world where silence speaks volumes.
This is more than an exhibition—it’s an immersive journey into a coded universe where ancient scripts collide with urban edge. Each piece pulses with rhythm, mystery, and spiritual depth, transforming silence into bold, unforgettable structure.
Happening at the iconic Pacific Design Center’s Blue Building, this is a rare chance to encounter RETNA’s monumental works up close—in a setting as striking as the art itself. Whether you’re an avid collector or simply crave what’s next in the contemporary art scene, missing this is not an option.

about the artist
RETNA, born Marquis Lewis, is known for large-scale paintings covered in long, geometric scripts that evoke a secret language. The artist’s shapes take inspiration from Egyptian hieroglyphics, Arabic and Hebrew calligraphy, Gothic blackletter, and graffiti, among other global influences. RETNA got his start as a graffiti artist while growing up in Los Angeles. He has since exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, and London, among other cities. His work regularly sells for five figures on the secondary market. RETNA has collaborated with brands including Louis Vuitton, Nike, and Chanel; created an album cover for Justin Bieber; and designed sets for a production of Aida at the Washington National Opera and San Francisco Opera.
